This position will serve a dual role as the IT Technology Administrator and be responsible for technical support and security control under the guidance of the Information Systems Administrator and require minimal supervision. This will include help desk calls with Level 2 IT troubleshooting on workstations, laptops, network connectivity and UFA Enterprise applications. Administrator duties will involve Level 3 Device Management of KACE (System Engineer consulting in design, troubleshooting and configuration, including workstation images, Alpha/Beta testing and implementation to maintain accurate OS standards), Group Policy Object (GPO) testing, documentation and implementation. Budget and procure UFA system printers, maintaining all aspects of printer configuration, queue creation and deployment. The incumbent will be the technical liaison for all software applications and licenses including hardware inquiries covered by the IT Office Manager. This is not a remote position.
Help Desk Setup
- Provide setup, support and training for all Windows\Mac computers. This includes imaging, initial computer hardware and software setup and delivery, installations of mobile devices (i.e. IPad and laptops), wireless\VPN setup and support and peripheral support and installation.
- Recommend procedures and controls for problem prevention. Documents application troubleshooting and installation guides and workstation forms.
- Investigate and solve equipment, software and network problems, as needed.
- Maintain TrackIt Help Desk system queue
- Responsible for ensuring all help desk requests are handled promptly, correctly and in a timely manner and that the data integrity is maintained in the system with specific details and support documentation for each case.
- Assist the Information Systems Administrator in technology questions or troubleshooting at IT Level 2 standards.
IT Support
- Provide support and training for Microsoft internal and external network operations and all UF Advancement supported applications. Advancement supported applications include but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Applications, Edge, Chrome, FireFox, Zoom and Teams. Usage of network application tools such as TSM workstation backup, remote assistance and Anti-Virus software.
- Assist IT Office Manager setup of credit card devices and trains staff in usage and business process for the organization. Collaborate with Finance and Accounting in researching, design, budgeting and tracking of all electronic giving devices.
- Create and manage print queues, testing and implementation via GPO and solve printer related problems.
- Answer incoming calls into the department and provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.
IT Administration
- Administrator of Enterprise console management for McAfee, TSM, SharePoint, Active Directory, workstation imaging/deployment/patching Appliance, WSUS system patching, mobile device management and software deployment.
- Review Audit reports for McAfee and TSM.
- Backup the Information Systems Administrator in WSUS console for Microsoft updating of computers.
- On call for Help Desk coverage.
IT Backup Support
- Provide backup administrative support to IT Leadership, as needed.

Expected Salary: |
$22.03 - $26.82; commensurate with education and experience.

- Experience performing quality assurance tasks and customer service in technology related field.
- Help desk experience preferred.
- Must be an outstanding communicator and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal skills; and the ability to work collegially and interact effectively with a diverse constituency.

- Incumbent must be able to work independently and is detail-oriented.
- Customer service experience is strongly preferred.
- Proven success working with stakeholders; project management skills; experience in a data-driven environment; organizational skills; and the ability to lead, influence and motivate others are required.
- Working knowledge and experience in these areas: Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, internet browsers, E-mail and network connectivity troubleshooting.
