Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description:

The Implementation Specialist will be responsible for supporting professional learning and implementation of UFLI programs. Activities may include conducting trainings, both face-to-face and online, leading online discussions, conducting classroom observations, providing mentoring and coaching, and providing individual and small-group follow-up, as needed. This role will involve working collaboratively with school personnel (teachers, instructional coaches, principals), district personnel, and other project personnel. Essential functions of the job include:

  • Travel to conduct professional development face-to-face 

  • Conduct professional development online 

  • Provide mentoring and coaching 

  • Respond to inquiries and requests from educators 

  • Conduct classroom observations 

  • Contribute to the development of materials and resources 

  • Pilot materials and resources 

  • Model effective implementation of resources and materials 

  • Assist in the collection and management of implementation data 

  • Weekly meetings with UFLI staff 

  • Occasional meetings with school and district personnel 

This individual will also be expected to keep detailed records of all activities and develop periodic reports. Extensive travel may be required. This position is time-limited/soft funded. 

Expected Salary:

Commensurate with education and experience. 

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Preferred:
  • Familiarity and experience with UFLI Foundations 

  • At least three years’ experience teaching in K-5 schools 

  • Expertise in reading instruction and intervention 

  • Experience planning and conducting literacy professional development 

  • Experience coaching teachers in literacy 

  • Familiarity and experience with evidence-based literacy interventions
