Our Technology Advancement Group (TAG) is dedicated to researching, designing, and implementing state-of-the-art technology solutions to support our college's mission.
Contribute to Exceptional Learning Experiences
As an IT Generalist II, you'll collaborate with a dynamic team to implement the daily and strategic development, operation, and maintenance of systems:
- Design and implement all installations and provide maintenance and support of all integrated computing tools as listed above for the College of Journalism and Communications, including its affiliated Media Properties and the Innovation News Center.
- Provide support for all computer and computer-related services throughout the College, Centers, and Media Properties.
- Provide discretion, judgment, and decision-making on all matters related to information technology within the College, including but not limited to:
- Servers and related operating software including VMWare
- Desktop operating systems including Windows OS, Macintosh OS, and Linux
- Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, SPSS, and newsroom operating/management systems
- Endpoint management platforms such as SCCM and JAMF
- All hardware and software specific to the communications industries and required by faculty, staff, and students in the College, Centers, and Media Properties
- Troubleshoot and direct the implementation, training, and operation of all software
- Communicate effectively and responsively to all faculty, staff, and students in the College
