The Lastinger Center for Learning is an education innovation hub within UF’s College of Education focused on creating equitable education systems that improve teaching and learning across early childhood and K-12 education. Specifically, the Center targets kindergarten readiness, 3rd-grade reading proficiency, and algebra proficiency as critical milestones in children’s educational trajectory that are predictive of success in school and life. The Center works at the nexus of research, practice, and policy to develop sustainable systems that leverage educational technologies and improve the implementation of research-based practices. Housed in one of the nation’s elite public research universities, the Center operates as a dynamic, entrepreneurial workplace focused on executing against UF’s service mission to strengthen the human condition and improve the quality of life.
Graphic Design & Production
- Responsible for design and production of collateral including publications and reports, flyers, posters, slide decks, advertising (digital & print), handbooks or other presentation media implementing good design parameters, layout, photo editing, data visualization
- Maintains files and records of graphic designs; ensures the timely completion of all work presented to the graphics unit.
- Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed. Responsible for corrections and file edits after proofing for editorial and stylistic accuracy
Design Innovation and Alignment
- Ensures all artistic work follows the correct branding while being inventive and imaginative in developing original and creative products
- Proposes new ways of thinking about content design based on industry research and best practices.
- Provides input to design manager on policy making, budgeting, and long-term planning for design activities as related to sales/marketing & profile raising
Project Management
- Confer with stakeholders to discuss and determine layout design.
- Attend and participate in creative development meetings as needed
- Use implemented systems to track, maintain, monitor, and iterate on each product as they progress through the development cycle
- Maintaining files and records of design
Professional Learning
- Gain knowledge of current and appropriate styles and skills to design and develop diverse, equitable, and inclusive resources
- Stay current with design trends and best practices
- Gain knowledge or mastery of design and project management software
- Complete required UF and Lastinger Center training
Other duties as assigned
Will travel for assigned business purpose minimally (1-2/quarter)

Lastinger Center for Learning supports and promotes a healthy work-life balance. To achieve this, the Lastinger Center offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule that aligns with the university’s Flexibility in the Workplace Policy. Allowing employees to stagger arrival and departure times as necessary and to vary the number of workdays in the office so long as an employee’s FTE commitment is fulfilled within the university workweek. This policy also allows for occasional, incidental remote work based on individual circumstances.

- Proficiency in Adobe Products: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- Tech proficiency: Microsoft (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams), Google Suite (Docs, Forms, Spreadsheets, Slides), Zoom
