The Human Resources Generalist I for UF Information Technology delivers excellent service and is primarily responsible for assisting departments in the daily functions of talent acquisition, onboarding, off-boarding, supporting the compensation plan, leave administration, and payroll.
Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:
- Perform full-cycle recruitment, hiring, position management, and employee relations
- Facilitate and coordinate onboarding, off-boarding, and employment change activities
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; assist with training and development
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, recommends best practices, and reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Communicate and interpret policies and procedures for managers and employees
