Job Description:

Student Success Support Coaching, Interventions & Advising

•           Develops and implements strategies to improve the persistence, retention and post-graduation success of first-generation students, integrating academic, co-curricular experiences and career development support services in operations. Supports students in navigating challenges related to adjusting to college life, personal development, career exploration and post-graduation achievements.
•           Provides personalized student success coaching, interventions and advising, including guidance in navigating the student experience for support and learning inside and outside of the classroom, student experience and post-graduation planning for learners. These sessions can be for individuals and groups to serve UF undergraduate, graduate and professional students.
•           Promotes engagement in high-impact practices like internships, service-learning, and networking opportunities that enhance academic, professional development and positive post-graduation contributions.
•           Maintains confidentiality of student records and adheres to university policies regarding student data.
Educational Programming & Resource Development
•           Creates educational programs and workshops designed to champion positive career outcomes for all learners with a focus on resilience, professional development, and life skills. Provides and promotes offerings to enhance the UF first-generation student experience.
•           Develops and tailors resources to support student engagement and achievements throughout the university. Gathers, uses and shares industry specific information and trends to support student success in general and first-generation student success. Customizes and scales interventions for greater access to scale services provided through program offerings and other initiatives to advance student career mobility.

Engagement and Collaboration

•           Builds and maintains relationships with campus partners, student organizations and stakeholders to create opportunities and referrals for first-generation students to thrive at the university and beyond.
•           Promotes campus resources, including academic, co-curricular and extracurricular activities that support learner world readiness as students entering an ever-changing global community.
•           Collaborates with faculty, staff, and other campus partners to create and implement programs and initiatives that address barriers to student persistence, retention and desired post-graduation outcomes.
Tracking, Reporting, and Program Evaluation (10%)
•           Tracks and monitors student progress through regular evaluation and assessments of engagement.
•           Collaborates with faculty and academic advisors to identify students who need additional support and coordinate timely interventions.
•           Uses student engagement data and feedback to assess the effectiveness of strategies, interventions, programs and services to aid in making data-informed adjustments to improve outcomes.

Expected Salary: $50,000.00
Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION & TRAINING: Master’s degree in marketing, education, training and development, human resources, higher education administration, student personnel services, or related field

EXPERIENCE
- Experience working with college students and various learners (strongly preferred)
- Experience in Academic Support Services, Student Services, Higher Education, or Student Affairs settings
