Program Development:
Strategize, plan and execute on campus residential experiences/events for MBA students across the portfolio. These residential experiences are co-curricular programs for students to develop skills beyond their classroom instruction. Beyond increasing acumen in particular functional area, residential events provide networking and social outlets for students. Incumbent is responsible for ideation, creation, marketing, contracting, planning and execution of all on campus residential events. Manage staffing plan and assignments for MBA team members to support events and network with students. Ensure catering and all building operations are confirmed and managed with additional assistance from High Performance Team members. Communicate with MBA students pre and post event to share pertinent program details, information and assess overall satisfaction. Primary lead for all noncredit bearing on campus residential experiences and events, which can include additional programs as market population grows and needs arise.
In collaboration with Assistant Director of Student Experience for Signature Events, develop yearlong calendar of themed residential and in market programs for MBA students. Ensure timely communication of signature events portfolio and establish efficient registration process. Use data from post event assessments, coupled with student intake surveys and business career services information, to help share future programming and themes.
Build out additional non-technical training for programs students in digestible, accessible formats. Work with Assistant Director of Student Experience for Signature Events to identify skill gaps and student interests. Secure topics and staff to deliver content, market/promote events and manage registration.
Program Support:
Manage logistics, contracts and vendor relationships for signature events programs. Solicit and gather quotes and contract details for review and approval via procurement. Work with MBA accounts payable department to ensure timely remittance of payment to vendors. Manage invoices, receipts and paperwork for events and track expenditures in Student Experience annual budget file.
Event Assessment and Reporting:
Create and maintain assessments for signature events programs. Consolidate assessment findings so that each program can continue to enhance and meet the needs of the current student population. As needed coordinate focus groups with staff, faculty, students, alumni, campus partners and external stakeholders to enhance the programs. Assist in evaluating program effectiveness and achievement of learning outcomes by refining assessments and how they are be used. Create reporting on attendance and program objectives for monthly staff meetings and for use in Signature Events Annual strategy.
Promotional Event Material Management:
Incumbent will manage the ordering of promotional items for residential and external programs and inventory of event-related supplies and materials. Collaborates with other members of the team to ensure accurate and timely execution of logistics and monitoring inventory.
Special Projects/Other Duties:
Assist with special projects and duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Student Experience for Signature Events including but not limited to orientation, graduation, and other campus-based programs. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and innovation within student experience.

Expected Salary: |
$55,000 - $60,000

Minimum Requirements: |
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications: |
Candidate must possess exceptional organizational skills, be a team player, and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines. Ideal candidates will have strong written and verbal communication skills and be highly organized with strong event management skills, including vendor negotiations and contract management. Candidate will know and perform the duties normally expected of an academic student affairs officer, i.e., advising, program management, and liaison for student and stakeholder communication and concern. They will possess strong interpersonal skills, be strategic, tech savvy, and communicate effectively.
Candidate will be expected to serve as a positive force and collaborator within the broader MBA team. Candidate will need to understand and navigate all aspects of an academic unit. The effective candidate will proactively seek alliances and partnerships across the MBA team to improve macro level strategic outcomes for the MBA Program. They will seek to find similar partnerships with colleagues throughout the Hough Graduate School of Business and Warrington College of Business.
They may be called upon to represent the university at professional association meetings or other events.
