Program Recruitment, Retention, & Graduation: •Develops, implements, and administers program policies and procedures related to recruitment, retention, and graduation. •Achieves enrollment objectives and other benchmarks by recruiting and evaluating prospective CVM applicants, managing and assisting applicants through the application process. •Reviews documentation of undergraduate, graduate, and/or transfer students to ensure completeness of applications; monitors applicants progress •Builds applicant sources by researching, contacting and networking with appropriate groups, organizations, internet sites, individuals, and more; represents the college by providing information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport with prospective students and/or advisors. •Develops and disseminates external and internal recruiting and retention communications. Makes outbound calls, emails and other communications to current students to provide information, encourage persistence, and registration and retention activities; supports inbound communications •Develop candidate and current student relationships; develop relationships with current and prospective partner programs, applicant sources, and more •Facilitate the sharing of critical information and work in partnership with Office of the Provost Marketing and Admissions Support team regarding operational program functions and services. •Help organize and facilitate academic events, workshops, and other educational activities. •Coordinate and plan graduation and commencement functions. •Researches and complies data for the purpose of evaluating program progress to achieve program objectives. Collaborate with Associate Dean to develop and implement necessary changes or improvements. •Directly contributes to strategic planning and implementation of strategic initiatives.
Academic Advising: •Advises students on academic core/program requirements, class selection, and academic policies/procedures. • Helps students define and set long-term educational and career objectives •Clarifies university policies, procedures, and curriculum to various stakeholders. •Keeps accurate student and advising records, observing state/federal laws and university regulations. •Tracks student progress and provides necessary academic resources or programs to address issues. •Provides statistical data to college units, prepares reports analyzing enrollment statistics, and student performance. •Participates in departmental, college, or campus advisory committees as needed. •Update Graduate Information system as needed. •Ensuring that students have a plan to graduate within the first couple of semesters •Assist in setting up graduate committees, final exams, thesis submissions etc. •Maintain strong working relationships with the Provost’s office, the graduate school, academic affairs and the division of enrollment management
Registration Support: • Develop course lists and create courses/sections in the student information system as needed • Enroll students in courses • Assist in drop/add each semester • Create a final enrollment report at the end of each semester
Other duties assigned by supervisor • Driving to in-state or out-of-state events may be required.

Preferred Qualifications: |
Demonstrated experience in customer service, recruiter, and/or admissions officer Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, accurate information; ability to prioritize and respond to communications in a timely manner (approximate 2-3 working business days) Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; experience working in goal-oriented environment Ability to work with a range of constituents; demonstrated experience working effectively with a team Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to be self-directed and work effectively with a team; strong analytical and attention to details skills Ability to prioritize multiple obligations and deadlines Experience maintaining confidential data Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint Experience working in Salesforce’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system a plus
