Working with the CareQuest Foundation and with the ARC of Alachua County in providing project coordination in working with a dental team and community agencies. Overseeing budget for the project.
Coordinating and overseeing implementation of the 5-year” Developing an Ontology for Dental Care-Related Fear and Anxiety: Toward an Understanding of Problems in Dental Care Utilization” (ODFA) NIDCR grant project in the UF College of Dentistry, (UFCD) in collaboration with the University of Utah and the University at Buffalo. This includes working across institutions with co-investigators at the University of Utah and the University at Buffalo and submitting IRB protocols, assuring compliance with all relevant IRB and other regulatory requirements, overseeing recruitment, training others in providing informed consent, developing and maintaining the schedule for the studies, assisting with study finances (purchasing supplies, materials, equipment, and services) and human subjects payments, monitoring budgets, and providing reports to the co-PIs regarding study progress and challenges. Overseeing budget for the project.
Supervising a dental assistant and research trainees, volunteers, and part-time research assistants. This role includes ensuring that they have completed all required training, training them in experimental methods, and supervising their data collection and data entry activities.
Providing teledentistry services and coordinating the scheduling of patient appointments for the D-CARE project. Providing administrative coordination and support. Maintaining an inventory of supplies, ordering supplies, moving mobile dental equipment.
Data management, which includes maintaining subject charts and entering data into computer databases. The person in this position also will ensure that all paper and computer files are maintained in a confidential manner. Literature searches and developing academic output to include abstracts, conference presentations, workshops, and manuscripts.
Assisting in the development and implementation of recruitment activities and materials for subject recruitment and retention for the ODFA. Coordination and travel to participating clinic data collection sites.
Providing coordination and support to other research projects in the co-PI’s research programs. Manuscript and report development.
