Job Description: The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville is seeking an ophthalmologist/optometrist Post-Doctoral Associate in research with interest in retina subspecialty. Preference will be given to candidates who have skills in clinical science research with experience in manuscript preparation. Responsibilities will include helping to design and coordinate research studies, coordinating clinical trials and clinical studies within the department, analyzing, publishing and presenting the results.  This position will be for a minimum of two years.  The University of Florida will support J 1 Research Visa.

Jacksonville, Florida, USA is located on the East coast of USA in the north-east part of Florida and boasts of warm weather throughout the year. The Department of Ophthalmology at University of Florida College of Medicine, Jacksonville has a fully staffed ophthalmology department with residency and clinical medical retina fellowship programs. Clinical research is one of our priorities and we are currently participating in several national trials in the area of retina, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and inherited retinal diseases (gene therapy trials).

Expected Salary:

$50,000 plus PDA benefits

Minimum Requirements:

Ophthalmologist MD/DO or Optometrist (OD) with interest in retina subspecialty

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in clinical trials preferred.
