Job Description:

•Provide academic and career advising to online students via web, email, telephone
•Assist students with identification of academic plans, long term goals, and career plans.
•Monitor academic progress, including probation, honors, and progression through degree requirements
•Utilize campus resources and assessments to provide career advising to online students
•Serve as liaison to other key students services offices at UF (e.g., Admissions, Registrar, Financial Services, Financial Aid, Disability Resources, Bookstore) for students at a distance
•Work with UF’s Online Business program databases


•Develop and manage advising workshops for online student population
•Coordinate and/or participate in program related events (e.g. Graduation)
•Assist with development of and participate in online orientation for online students each semester
•Manage the online programs database of probation students
•Update and engage with student in the online student center in Canvas 
•Assist with data management of current students in the Online Business program.

    
•Teach section of Intro to Business course annually
•Represent Online Business Programs to internal and external University constituencies
•Other duties as assigned by the Director of Academic Support Services

Expected Salary:

$50,000 - $52,000

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in education, counseling, or an academic field directly related to the advisor’s area of responsibility; or a bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or an academic field directly related to the advisor’s area of responsibility and one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the field of education, counseling, psychology, career development, or a related area.
