Job Description:

The Department of Radiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville seeks a Women Imager with proven academic focus at UF Jacksonville Health System at the non-tenure accruing position rank of assistant level

Woman’s Imaging Radiologist

Candidate must show a significant commitment to teaching and to providing high-quality care and service in women's imaging.

Qualifications

Candidates must be Board Certified I Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology. The successful candidate will be fellowship trained in Women’s Imaging and must be able to obtain a license to practice medicine in the state of Florida. The candidate should be a team player and expect to join a pleasant group of colleagues.

Practice and Facilities 

UF Health – Jacksonville is the only university-based academic practice in Northeast Florida.  We are subspecialized across the department.  No nights are required as we have an overnight ED radiology division.  An internal-moonlighting evening shift is available for qualified faculty.

Our Women’s Imaging program is growing and includes digital mammography/tomosynthesis with AI, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided needle biopsies and seed localizations. We have a collegial group of fellowship-trained radiologists who cover for each other. We emphasize a high morale environment and foster a sense of work-life balance.   

State of-the-art mammography and ultrasound equipment across different platforms: Hologic, Siemens and GE; AI provided by iCAD Profound AI. MRI equipment is almost all Siemens. There are numerous academic and research opportunities available.

 Responsibilities  

  • Provide high quality service in a friendly academic setting.
  • Serve as a mentor to train a great group of residents.  Our program now has 7 new residents per year.
  • Research team is available to faculty interested in pursuing scholarly activity.
  • Work with colleagues in the breast service line (breast clinic, surgery, oncology, pathology), via daily interactions/multidisciplinary meetings.

Expected Salary:

Salary is negotiable; commensurate with experience and qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
