The Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, time-limited (with the possibility of a one-year renewal), non-tenure-accruing position at the rank Visiting Lecturer in Japanese Language and Culture to begin August 16, 2023.
The successful applicant will teach three courses in Japanese language during the Fall 2023 semester and three courses during the Spring 2024 semester. The successful candidate should be prepared to teach primary Japanese language courses at all levels (i.e., first-year through third-year). Preference will be given to candidates who can also teach one or more specialized language courses (e.g., business Japanese, newspaper reading, Japanese media, etc.).
The successful candidate will contribute to diversity and inclusive excellence through teaching courses and will also have opportunities, though not required, to participate in curriculum and program development, including outreach activities.
