Job Description:

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Florida invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, renewable, non-tenure track Scientist position to begin after Jan 1st, 2023. The appointment is Director of the Center for X–ray Crystallography. Typical applicants will have a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, or a closely-related field, demonstrable expertise in X–ray crystallography, and facility management experience. Responsibilities related to this position will include maintenance and operation of instruments within the center, as well as data collection, structure solution and refinement, and training/supervising staff. The director is welcome to pursue supervision and training of other UF researchers and X-ray course instruction. In addition, the director is expected to submit proposals as necessary to upgrade the facility.

Expected Salary:

The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience and the compensation includes a full benefits package.

Minimum Requirements:

A Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, or a closely related field, and demonstrable expertise in X-ray crystallography.
