Job Description:	Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop bioinformatics, data analytics and curation pipelines that improve access to and use of biological and related data bases. Provide bioinformatics and data analytics consultation. Contribute creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Contribute to grant proposals, publications, grant reports, and presentations.
Expected Salary:	Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Minimum Requirements:	A bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:	Demonstrated expertise in computer science, statistical genetics, bioinformatics, or quantitative analytics. A strong background in programming (e.g., Python or R) Outstanding communications skills Experience with or interest in learning biological/genetic/genomic concepts.

The successful candidate will support ongoing genome research using the tools of bioinformatics and advanced analytical methods. They will provide bioinformatic and analytic capacity to scientists studying plant and microbial genomes, population genetics, and plant and microbial interactions. This is an opportunity to implement data analytics expertise at the intersection of biology and data science, while working with a dynamic and collegial team of students, post graduate scientists, and faculty. Coauthor status on research publications with significant participation in analytical strategies, data interpretation and writing/editing. Competitive candidates will be self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn.
