Job Description:

The Wong Lab at the Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Disease in the Department of Neurology at the University of Florida is seeking highly talented postdoctoral associate candidates to participate in research projects focused on neuromodulation therapy for neurological and psychiatric conditions including Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia, Tourette syndrome, OCD and others. The research and position are supported by Dr. Joshua Wong in the Department of Neurology.

The mission of the Wong Lab is to better understand the mechanism of action of neuromodulation by applying artificial intelligence/machine learning techniques to structural/functional imaging datasets, connectomics and neurophysiology. The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, neurosurgeons and engineers conducting clinical and translational research on large multi-modal datasets. Expected Salary:

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates will have:

  • Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree
  • Experience in a field directly relevant to translational neuroscience.
  • Experience in data collection and analysis. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a:

  • High level of independence in the design and execution of AI/ML experiments.
