The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida College of Medicine is seeking clinical research faculty candidate at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level with clinical and research expertise in depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive and related disorders, autism spectrum disorders, or women’s mental health, including maternal mental health. Board Certified (or Board Eligible) Psychiatrists and/or Ph.D. level psychologists are encouraged to apply. The position requires clinical and clinical research experience in adults or children and will be a core part of the growing clinical and translational research program in the Department of Psychiatry at UF. A history of obtaining successful research funding is critical.
Frequent interdisciplinary collaborations are a goal of the Department and such collaborations facilitate and expand potential research opportunities. Department faculty have the opportunity to collaborate with clinical and research faculty from a variety of disciplines, colleges and departments throughout the University of Florida. The successful candidate will develop his/her own area of externally funded research, in collaboration with established faculty in the Department of Psychiatry, the College of Medicine, and throughout UF. The child and adult inpatient and outpatient services provided by the Department of Psychiatry, which include electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), deep brain stimulation (DBS), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) provide an ideal setting for clinical and translational research in mental health.
Rank and tenure status will be commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements: |
Applicants with an M.D. or D.O who are board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry and applicants with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology or a related field are encouraged to apply. Clinical and research experience with depression or other mood disorders, maternal mental health or women’s mental health, anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders, or obsessive compulsive and related disorders.
