Opportunity:

The mission of the Center for Online Innovation and Production (COIP) is to collaborate with UF's world-class faculty in creating innovative, engaging, and relevant online courses. We are seeking a highly motivated and creative professional to join our highly collaborative team. Working in two state-of-the-art studios, you would collaborate with instructional designers, multimedia developers, and faculty to develop multimedia that supports online education. In this position, you will use your creative talent in all aspects of pre-production, production, and post-production to include but not limited to video, motion graphics, animations, augmented and virtual reality, and gaming design, to deliver state-of-the-art, engaging digital content. This position also assists in the technical and creative aspects of creating on-location videos.

Essential functions of the position are as follows:

Collaborate with instructional designers and faculty on multimedia projects from the conceptual development stages, throughout the implementation, to delivery of the finished product. Coordinate the development, production and distribution of digital media assets. Demonstrate visual creativity and the ability to develop video plans for on-location activities and in studio.

Plans and performs video post-production tasks include reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, video transcoding, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final editing using Adobe Creative Suite software; utilizes computer graphics and special effects for video post-production in accordance with the overall production concepts.

Coordinates and guides research and development of digital media tools as well as researches and assesses new trends in digital media that is applicable to online learning. Makes recommendations for new technology and processes to increase efficiencies and improve quality; also responsible for creating and maintaining digital media protocols. 

Expected Salary:

$26.34 - $31.13 hourly

Required Qualifications: High school diploma and three years of relevant experience. Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred:

A Bachelor's degree in media or communications (audio/visual), plus 2 years of experience as a videographer or animator in a production environment. Excellent interpersonal and project management skills a plus. Knowledge of video and photo editing software (i.e. Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop). Experience in graphic design and 3-D animation is also a plus.
