Creating preventative and corrective maintenance work orders for Utility Plant Mechanics. The position monitors the system controls and evaluates trend performance of plant equipment against an established level of service. The Operator investigates and assists with troubleshooting the thermal plants’ conditions and controls and coordinates with mechanics for equipment shutdowns. Operators help enforce Standard Operating Procedures and maintain a safe working environment as Lockout/Tagout Issuing Agent. The thermal plants are monitored 24-hours per day. The Coral Data & Research Coordinator is a Florida Sea Grant (FSG) position that supports the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) in administering the Coral Protection and Restoration (CPR) Program. The position will assist in the administration of funding, lead research priorities, expand data management and communication efforts, and maintain DEP Quality Assurance standards. The Coordinator will be responsible for working directly with CPR Program leadership to implement high-level priorities and goals and to ensure that CPR Program efforts are aligned with Florida’s Coral Reef Resilience Program (FCRRP), disturbance response efforts and other state priorities. The Coordinator is also a conduit of information related to management priorities and data management.
