Broadly, the GAPP lab focuses specifically on auditory and visual perception in the brain, genetic variants that influence communication and associated disorders, and neural plasticity during learning and non-invasive neuromodulation. The postdoctoral researcher will study the influence of non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation on neural responses to speech sounds using high-density electroencephalography (EEG). The candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with a research team to collect and analyze data, mentor junior lab members, prepare manuscripts for publication, and participate at national and international level meetings.
