This position is responsible for coding and billing of professional medical fees for all faculty physicians in the Department of Dermatology. This involves extracting billable services from the patient charts and applying appropriate CPT and ICD-9 codes and then entering these services in the EPIC billing system for submission. This position will be participating in the Facilities Services, Career Progression Program. The position conducts maintenance services to support reliable and cost-effective operations of industrial equipment used for chilled water, steam, waste-water treatment, potable water systems and similar heavy industry processes. Typical equipment supported as part of scope of services include pumps, motors, valves, turbines, engines, chillers, boilers, fans, gearboxes, piping and associated plant auxiliary equipment. Employee monitors, inspects, repairs, and replaces equipment and systems as directed. Responsibilities include identifying problems, correcting deficiencies, and performing maintenance procedures in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations. Position will also coordinate with other facility operation departments, outside contractors, and vendors to ensure assigned work is documented and scheduled appropriately. As required, due to maintenance time frames, the position may be assigned work tasks that includes night and weekend shifts, or the employee may be required to work after normal workhours due to failures of equipment ensuring safety of university, minimizing disruption to customers, and preventing further property or equipment damage. Training will include National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Core and Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Level 1 curriculum. Safety and Lockout/Tagout policies adherence is required.
Biological Scientist III - Pediatrics Child Health Research Institute 29092100 - MD-CHILD HEALTH RES INSTITUTE Main Campus (Gainesville, FL)
The Biological Scientist III position will work in Dr. Pacak’s Research Laboratory, Child Health Research Institute, Department of Pediatrics.  The primary research focus is AAV-mediated gene therapy to treat disorders that affect mitochondrial function.  Both in vitro experiments using patient derived iPS cells as well as in vivo experiments using mouse models will be performed. The candidate will be working on 1. Conducting experiments and completing research activities as described by Dr. Pacak; 2. Writing/submitting abstracts and/or articles for publication; 3. Presenting research findings; and 4. Completing activities as assigned. This position is expected to operate independently, with minimal direct supervision from the Principal Investigator, and be responsible for the day-to-day research related activities to realize project timelines.

The Data Center is staffed 24/7 365 days a year and provides support for multiple data centers in Gainesville for security, power, space, and connectivity. All hardware requests for installs, moves, removals are performed or coordinated by the data center analysts. The center administers enterprise applications in support of other IT teams and their customers. Automic (UC4) Enterprise cross platform job scheduler, DSView (KVM over IP for servers) , Barr Enterprise Output Manager, dcTrack and PowerIQ, Data Center Infrastructure Management. The project includes complex studies (critically ill subjects being treated with procedures that may result in moderately severe adverse events, therapeutic intervention trials involving organ biopsy). This position will work independently while the PI is always available for consultation. Normal work schedule will be Monday-Friday, 8-5 but will vary to include nighttime, weekend and/or holiday hours on an as needed basis dependent upon patient availability.
