Job Description:

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an entry-level Web Designer to join Academic Technology-Web Services, a unit within UFIT.

UF Information Technology (UFIT) enables teaching, learning, research, and service on campus and across the region with state-of-the-art enterprise IT systems, including SEC and SUS universities, and the opportunity to teach using HiPerGator.

UFIT Web Services has an opening for a Web Designer. We are seeking an applicant experienced with creating visually appealing web designs that adhere to ADA standards. Ability to use design tools such as Figma a plus.  Knowledge of industry web design standards a must. The successful candidate will design and deliver accessible and engaging web interfaces.

Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:

  • Design websites for our customers in UFIT supported web content management systems
  • Collaborate with peers to design and implement user driven web accessible templates and interfaces for ease of use
  • Experience using design tools such as Figma
  • Strong customer service skills and self-motivation a must.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards and WCAG 2.1.

Expected Salary:

$53,000 - $55,000; commensurate based on education and experience

Bachelor's degree; or an associate's degree and two years of appropriate experience.

Preferred:

The ideal candidate possesses  firm understanding of digital content and web design for the internet and interactive platforms, HTML, CSS, and current software tools used to create superior designs
