The Opportunity Academic Advisor III University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Location – 100% Remote
The College of Journalism and Communications (CJC) is seeking a UF Online Academic Adviser to guide and support our online undergraduate students as they pursue degrees, minors, and certificates. This position plays a key role in helping students navigate their academic journeys—from admission to graduation—through personalized, virtual advising.
As part of the CJC Professional Advising and Teaching Hub (PATH), you’ll be part of a collaborative, student-centered team that values innovation, connection, and excellence in online education—all from the comfort of your remote workspace.
What You’ll Do
- Provide academic advising to current and prospective UF Online students, helping them understand degree requirements, course options, and university policies.
- Support the recruitment and admissions process, including transfer and readmission applications.
- Ensure that all CJC UF Online program information—such as catalog listings, degree audits, and web content—is accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate with CJC offices and UF partners, including the Career Connections Center, Office of Admissions, UF Online OneStop, and Office of the University Registrar.
- Participate in college and university committees and contribute to the mentorship and coordination of the UF Online advising team.
