| Job Description: |
Biographical Data Entry
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the donor database and expertise in retrieval of information to ensure all guidelines and business rules are followed for biographical entities and gift data, including record types, organizational hierarchies, and total giving.
- Verify and update biographical/entity and gift information in Ascend per data from data services and special projects, modifying and correcting data entries in Ascend.
- Create new entities, both individual and corporate, within the Ascend Database
- Assist in all Biographical Services projects requiring advanced data processing.
- Utilize the internet and other online tools to research information to accurately update biographical records.
Data Integrity & Audits
- Perform ongoing data and process audits on entity, gift and pledge records to ensure data integrity is maintained.
- Standardize data through analysis and research, and perform related data clean-ups in the CRM.
- Assist with updates and responses to email requests via the Bio Liaison mailbox and the Alumni Bio mailbox.
- Help monitor and respond to general biographical request emails to the Gifts and Records department as needed.

A high school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience.

The successful candidate will possess:
- Two years of gift processing experience, or a combination of education and experience in a professional, customer service, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to use sound judgment and exercise strict confidentiality and discretion in all matters.
- Data Entry, proofreading, grammar, and spelling skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work accurately and efficiently with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrated commitment to provide excellent customer service and promote positive interaction between operations and professional staff as well as internally.
- Ability to do in-depth research and follow-up.
- Ability to keyboard or type 45 accurate words per minute.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to engage effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of individuals are essential.

- Proficient in the following areas: Windows operating systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, as well as internet browsers and email platforms. Familiarity with donor databases, contact management systems, and tracking systems is also highly preferred.
