The Student Health Care Center (SHCC) at the University of Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse II (RN II) to join our team. As an RN II at the SHCC, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care under the RN License standards in the Immunization and Allergy Clinic, collaborating with multiple clinical teams and rotating weekend coverage as needed.
Your responsibilities will include administering immunizations for students, faculty, and staff, assisting with our annual flu campaign, administering allergy injections, and coordinating patient care with outside allergy clinics, providing treatments and procedures, administering medications, screening and counseling patients, and collecting and documenting vital signs, visual acuity, and Point-of-Care testing results. In addition, you will have the opportunity to provide independent nursing care using established practice protocols and standing orders, along with other clinical duties as assigned

The SHCC is fully accredited by the AAAHC and is located in a new state-of-the-art WELL-certified building on UF’s campus. Medical services offered at the SHCC include primary care, sports medicine, urgent care, gynecology, psychiatry, allergy/immunization clinic, and travel medicine. Radiology, pharmacy, lab, and physical therapy are also on site.

- Skilled in administering intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections

- Skilled in starting, monitoring and administering intravenous (IV) fluids and medications
- Skilled in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Skilled in performing wound care and Point-of-Care Testing
