Job Description:

The OPS Faculty Development and Assessment Assistant Coordinator will support CTE by applying data-driven insights to enhance program effectiveness, instructional quality, and digital learning experiences. This role is ideal for a graduate student with a strong foundation in data theory, statistical analysis, and educational research methods, and an interest in curriculum evaluation and technology-enhanced learning. 

This position will analyze student performance data, program outcomes, and instructional feedback to inform decisions about course content, structure, and the integration of digital learning tools. By identifying trends and areas for improvement, the intern will contribute to the ongoing refinement of CTE courses to ensure alignment with learning objectives, industry standards, and best practices in digital pedagogy. 

Data Analysis & Reporting 

  • Analyze student outcomes and program performance. 
  • Create visual reports and dashboards to communicate findings. 
  • Document evaluation processes for internal and accreditation use. 

Course Evaluation & Improvement 

  • Use data to assess and enhance course content and structure. 
  • Collaborate on curriculum updates based on evidence and feedback. 
  • Track the impact of instructional changes over time. 

Digital Learning & Technology Integration 

  • Recommend and support the use of digital learning tools. 
  • Evaluate effectiveness of tech-enhanced instruction. 
  • Stay current on emerging educational technologies. 

CTE Workshops and Trainings 

  • Support the CTE team and outside presenters with workshop materials, equipment setup, troubleshooting, etc. 
Expected Salary:

$15 per hour; commensurate with education and experience. 

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred:
  • Ability to work 15-20 hours per week
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills 
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, STATA, Tableau) 
  • Experience in higher education assessment, program evaluation, and institutional research 
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Familiarity with Canvas LMS course development
  • Knowledge of accessibility guidelines and how to implement them
