Job Description: |
The Nguyen lab in the UF College of Medicine is seeking a talent postdoc to join our productive research group at the Center for Neurogenetics, University of Florida.
The postdoc will study molecular mechanisms that repeat expansion variants contribute to Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases.
Conduct key experiments proposed in our funded project and will explore the new research ideas to expand our research avenues to identify additional AD risk genes and to develop disease models.
Work on the projects studying molecular mechanisms that recently identified Alzheimer’s disease risk repeat expansion variants contribute to disease.

Expected Salary: |
Annual salary range is $58,656 - $60,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications: |
Ph.D. Degree
|
Preferred: |
Experience in studying repeat expansion disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, human genetics, transcriptomic analysis, epigenetic study, patient derived models, mouse models of neurodegenerative disorders, immuno-based methods, CRISPR/Cas based tools, and molecular pathways.
