Job Description:

The Program Manager plays a key role in advancing the College of Nursing’s strategic goals and initiatives. Working under general supervision and in close collaboration with the Management Analyst, this position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing a variety of programs that support the College’s mission and long-term objectives.

The Program Manager guides programs from concept to implementation, ensuring clear timelines, deliverables, and outcomes. This role also involves cultivating partnerships and alliances that align with strategic business goals, staying informed on industry trends to identify new opportunities, and representing the College externally to foster growth and collaboration. Strong communication, strategic alignment, and a focus on quality outcomes are essential to success in this position.

Program Planning and Execution 

  • Work with the Management Analyst and key stakeholders to develop and manage strategic programs for the College of Nursing, including scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics.
  • Identifies, develops, and maintains alliances or partnerships that assist the program in meeting its strategic business objectives.
  • Manage project timelines, track milestones, and ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication 

  • Meet regularly with customers, internal departments, and leadership to gather expectations and provide status updates.
  • Lead program meetings and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with business units and partner groups to ensure alignment and buy-in.
  • Facilitate resolution of issues, conflicts, or roadblocks in collaboration with the Management Analyst and stakeholders.

Reporting and Documentation 

  • Develop and maintain documentation including proposals, business requirements, status reports, risk logs, and presentations.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to the Management Analyst and other key leaders.
  • Document and manage scope changes, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies.

Process and Policy Development 

  • Collaborate on the creation and revision of internal processes, policies, and procedures that support program success and operational alignment.
  • Contribute to the development of program management standards, tools, and templates.
  • Recommend and implement improvements based on project evaluations and lessons learned.
Expected Salary:

$70,000-$80,000

Required Qualifications:

A bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and five years of appropriate experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:
  • Experience in higher education, health systems or complex organizations.
  • Familiarity with strategic planning processes and performance tracking.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs of moderate to complex scope.
  • Excellent skills in written and verbal communication
