The UF Health MyRx Program is a precision medicine initiative designed to connect patients and providers with personalized medication guidance through genetic testing. By integrating pharmacogenomic (PGx) information into routine clinical care, MyRx supports optimized treatment outcomes, reduces adverse drug reactions, and delivers actionable, patient-specific prescribing recommendations. The program operates as a patient-facing virtual clinic, coordinating PGx testing and clinical consultation services.
The OPS Business Development Manager (Internship) will play a vital role in expanding the reach of the MyRx Program across Florida and Georgia. The primary responsibility of this position is to conduct in-person outreach visits to clinics and healthcare providers, promote the MyRx Program, build and strengthen relationships, and support program adoption. The overarching goal is to increase MyRx referrals and statewide awareness, advancing the use of personalized medicine across UF Health’s clinical network and affiliated partners.
This position is ideal for a graduate student pursuing studies in business, health administration, pharmacy, or public health who is interested in healthcare innovation and outreach strategy. Regular travel across North Central Florida is expected, with occasional travel to other parts of Florida and potentially Georgia. This position is approximately 20 hours per week.
Conduct outreach visits to clinics and providers across Florida and Georgia to promote the MyRx Program: • Activities include scheduling and conducting in-person visits, presenting program information, answering provider questions, and collecting feedback. • Includes ongoing communication with providers and clinic staff, identifying champions, and helping to address barriers to adoption.
Support event planning and representation at health fairs, conferences, or community engagement events: • Identify and represent the MyRx Program at strategic events (e.g., health fairs, conferences, community outreach) to increase program visibility and build partnerships.
Monitor and report referral activity and outreach outcomes: • Track visits, provider feedback, and referral trends; prepare summary reports or dashboards to inform program leadership.
Participate in internal planning meetings and strategy sessions: • Contribute to the development of outreach strategies, identify new opportunities for growth, and coordinate with marketing, clinical, or administrative teams.
Develop and deliver promotional or educational materials to support outreach efforts: • Collaborate with internal teams to create outreach content, prepare handouts or digital materials, and ensure consistent messaging.
Other Administrative Duties as assigned: • Examples include: Support referral processing workflows and assist with data entry or tracking in REDCap; provide general administrative support such as scheduling, maintaining contact lists, preparing notes, or assisting with special projects as needed • Post and maintain social media presence as needed
