Job Description:

Student Engagement and Support

  • Provide coaching, training, consultations, success interventions, and educational resources for students to support academic success and desired post-graduation outcomes across campus
  • Coordinate and lead programmatic offerings and initiatives that support all students in their academic, professional, and personal development. 
  • Develop and implement initiatives that foster skill building, experiential learning, resource navigation, career readiness, and overall student success.
  • Creates resources and pathways aimed at providing opportunities for learners to take advantage of academic strengths, major exploration, and experiential learning opportunities at the institution to promote holistic student success.


Campus Partnerships and Communications 

  • Partners within the institutional ecosystem to advance support and student success outcomes including connections to experiential learning, campus resources, and post-graduation preparation.
  • Outreaches and coordinates communication plans to effectively engage students to take action on their academic exploration, career development, experiential learning options, and navigation of campus support systems 
  • Develops collateral, resources, content, and web resources to highlight efforts for student success and world readiness.
  • Conduct presentations to faculty, staff, and student leader groups to enhance awareness and engagement for all student populations.  
  • Provides consultations to faculty and staff to integrate experiential learning, skill development, reflection, and other post-graduation success measures into their curricula, advising, and university student support efforts.
  • Participates in various meetings and engagements to leverage academic and co-curricular learning experiences for student success.
  • Exchanges information related to student engagement, career development, industry trends, and academic success interventions to support student success. 

 
Programmatic Support & Management 

  • Implements and manages programmatic support efforts related to student success with an emphasis on career development, academic navigation, student engagement, and positive post-graduation outcomes.  
  • Leads projects, plans programming, provides customized outreach, and executes strategic efforts to integrate career development outcomes into curriculum, co-curricular efforts and teaching practices at the university.
  • Collaborates with and strengthens relationships with campus partners to create collaborative programming to support student success at UF and beyond.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of shared programming efforts.


Evaluation, Trends, and Assessment 

  • Participates in assessment, data tracking and analysis related to student success measures, career engagement, career holds, and academic support
  • Utilizes data to understand and improve holistic student engagement, decision-making, and wrap-around services needed for student populations. 
  • Utilizes student information systems (i.e. Salesforce, Gator CareerLink, Canvas) to better understand and track student engagement results.
  • Provides accurate reports and data related to academic integration of career development, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends, concepts, frameworks, and practices related to student success.
Expected Salary:

$54,000.00

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

Master’s degree in higher education, advising, coaching, counseling, communications, HR or related field. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to supporting contemporary student populations, student success, academic advising, etc. on a large campus with results is highly preferred.
