Are you a radio enthusiast with a passion for creating engaging content? Do you have a knack for thinking on your feet and a love for live broadcasting? We're looking for a part-time Programming Assistant to join our team at WRUF AM and FM in Gainesville, Florida.

About the Role:

As a key member of our programming department, you'll play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our stations, including WRUF AM and FM. This part-time position is perfect for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience in radio broadcasting, while also developing their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist with day-to-day operations, including preparing for on-air shifts, coordinating programming, and maintaining station records

Support weekend broadcasts for both WRUF AM and FM, providing on-air assistance and technical support as needed

Develop and implement engaging content for on-air segments, including interviews, news, and entertainment features

Collaborate with our on-air talent to create compelling and informative programming

Participate in station events, including remote broadcasts, live remotes, and community outreach initiatives

On-Air Opportunities:

As a member of our team, you'll have the chance to go on-air for either or both WRUF AM and FM, developing your on-air skills and building your confidence in a live broadcasting environment.

Expected Salary:

$15.00 per hour

Required Qualifications:

High School Diplomaone year of experience in radio broadcasting or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to think creatively and work well under pressure

Familiarity with audio editing software and broadcasting equipment

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
