Job Description: |
Provide technical assistance to ongoing projects. Assist with design, implementation, and conduct laboratory protocol and experiments using standard assays for DNA, RNA, and proteins, gene knockdown and knockouts, and cell-based assays, and mouse tumor models.
Data analysis and technical review of data. Preparation of manuscripts. Management of data analysis and the preparation of this data into figures for presentation in manuscripts for publication. Assist the Principal Investigator in writing and revising manuscripts
General laboratory maintenance includes ordering, inventory, radiation surveys, supervising compliance with hazardous waste and biological safety requirements, routine record keeping, maintaining stock solutions, including cell culture media and common buffers.
Supervision of OPS lab helper/dishwasher, student assistants, and graduate assistants.
Other assigned duties, as needed, to fulfill the mission of the department and to abide by the values of the College of Medicine.
