Job Description:

This position is responsible for managing warehouse operations for IFAS Facilities Planning and Operations, with a focus on inventory accuracy, efficient coordination of shipments, and internal customer support. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to ensure the safe and effective handling of all materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate stock records using inventory software and conduct routine audits

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments and manage disbursement of goods

  • Coordinate deliveries and schedule pickups with vendors and departments

  • Oversee safe loading, unloading, and handling of materials

  • Serve as the point of contact for inventory inquiries and internal support needs

  • Organize warehouse space and maintain storage systems for efficiency and safety

  • Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment and environmental storage conditions

  • Keep thorough documentation of all warehouse transactions and prepare reports as needed

Expected Salary:

$18-20/hr., to commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current studies in industrial engineering, project management, or construction.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite and email
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Motivated team player with an interest in advancement
  • Proficient in working with the Asset software system (Eagle) 
  • Possess professional and courteous customer service skills 
  • Collect data, including serial and model numbers, on assets throughout the Gainesville campus (AC units, fans, motors, water fountains, etc.) 
  • Collaborate effectively with peers, leadership, and faculty 
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments with efficiency
