Classification Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Description:

HR Operations Management:

  • Process all employment actions for full-time and part-time faculty, TEAMS, OPS, and other employees in departments reporting to the Associate Provost for the Office of Teaching and Technology..
  • Maintain position descriptions and facilitate recruitment, hiring, onboarding, terminations, leave cash-outs, leaves of absence, and international hiring.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and maintenance of relevant personnel data. 

Payroll & Compensation Administration:

  • Process additional pay ePAFs for Teaching and Technology faculty and TEAMS employees, including self-funded payments, flexible learning payments, lump sums, bonuses, and SPIs.
  • Review and retain HR600s submitted by Teaching and Technology departments, assisting as needed.
  • Coordinate with HR and Payroll to ensure accurate appointment, certification, and payroll distribution each pay period.
  • Administer payroll, verify payroll distributions, and initiate retro payroll adjustments as necessary, ensuring compliance with effort reporting system updates.

Compliance & Policy Management:

  • Maintain and organize confidential personnel files across Dropbox, DocuSign, network folders, Microsoft Teams, and electronic personnel systems.
  • Review and recommend updates to the Teaching and Technology Support Services website based on institutional changes.
  • Participate in HR focus groups and forums to stay informed on policy and procedural changes.
  • Interpret and disseminate administrative rules and policies, recommending updates to leadership.
  • Assist the Director with HR actions, including disciplinary matters and employee relations.

Institutional Compliance & Reporting:

  • Oversee institutional deadlines, ensuring accurate effort reporting and space allocation certification for all areas under the Associate Provost.
Expected Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000 Annually

Required Qualifications:

Prior HR experience in higher education or a similar environment preferred.
Experience with payroll processing tools, and digital document management. 

Preferred

Strong understanding of University HR policies, employment regulations, and payroll administration.

Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
