The University of Florida Veterinary Hospitals is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT) or Radiology Technician (ARRT) to join our Diagnostic Imaging team, primarily supporting the Cath Lab while assisting with other imaging modalities. This role works closely with faculty, residents, and hospital services to provide high-quality imaging and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
Imaging & Patient Care
• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging for Cath Lab and advanced imaging procedures.
• Work with a diverse range of patients, including small animals, large animals, and exotic species.
• Ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging while following ALARA radiation safety protocols.
• Safely administer and monitor sedation as per protocols and veterinarian orders.
• Communicate effectively with clinicians and staff to coordinate patient care and imaging needs.
Cath Lab Inventory
• Maintain and organize Cath Lab supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for procedures.
• Track inventory levels and coordinate orders as needed.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
• Operate advanced imaging equipment (CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and radiography).
• Perform routine maintenance and quality control to ensure equipment functionality.
Teaching & Mentoring
• Support and mentor students, interns, and new team members in imaging techniques and patient care.
Hospital Support
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in imaging areas.
• Assist with documentation, patient scheduling, and workflow coordination.
Schedule & Expectations:
• Training Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Potential Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
• On-Call Rotation: Required for Diagnostic Imaging
• Essential Personnel: May be required to report during hospital closures

Expected Salary:

Diagnostic Imaging Tech i (non-credentialed): $18-$23/ Diagnostic Imaging Technician II(credentialed): $20-$26
