Job Description:

40 % - Support the mission of the Division and the Student Engagement team by creating an innovative and engaging experiential learning program that will engage students beyond the classroom and provide practical insight into world readiness while building knowledge, skills, and establishing professional connections. Creates a plan for outreach with academic departments, faculty, and student organizations to create opportunities that integrate academic learning with co-curricular experiences. Create innovative resources and strategies that support students' reflection on their learning and help them articulate career competencies.

30% - Responsible for advising student organizations, working with students to make meaningful connections with UF alumni, and mentoring students and student leaders. The position will provide support related to student organization training, programming, and operations. Additionally responsible for developing and implementing programs, activities, and services that promote competency development, community engagement, co-curricular learning and encourage students to engage with varying perspectives. Through this work, this position works to build an appreciation with students of the importance of lifelong exploration and discovery.

25% - Responsible for coordinating with the University’s efforts to capture comprehensive experiential learning data and for helping students who are involved within Student Engagement to become high-skilled graduates. Assist with budget planning and reporting, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure proper procedures, controls and financial guidelines for all areas including organization expenditures. Assist with the coordination of administrative programs for the Student Engagement team, including the Student Engagement Fellows Program. Coordinate assessments of programs and initiatives, including but not limited to benchmarking, student leader orientations and onboarding, recurring training, and regular communication. Report appropriate information as required by Clery Act and Title IX. Assist with marketing and promotions strategy for educating students and encouraging co-curricular involvement. Coordinate with other departments and areas across campus as needed.

5% - Contributes to the Division and University through active participation on committees and division-wide initiatives (example opportunities: emergency dean on call, move-in, conduct committee, student welcome events, etc); and, other duties as assigned.

Expected Salary:

$62,000 - $67,000 Annual Salary

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION & TRAINING: Master’s degree in Student Personnel or related field
