| Job Description: |
- Assist with coordination and implementation of the Florida Bull test, other cattle performance tests, and research projects conducted at the Feed Efficiency Facility. This may include data collection for research such as cattle weights and blood samples.
- Cut, rake, and bale hay. Disc, plant grazing pastures and bushog to maintain pastures. Drive vehicle to job sites and haul hay out of field.
- Help maintain fences around the Beef Unit.
- Spray pastures and fence rows.
- Clean barn with skid steer and dirt work at the Feed Efficiency Facility and Beef Unit.
- Supervision of student interns and other temporary employees such as the Veterans Florida Agriculture Program/ SkillBridge. Incumbent practices and fosters team spirit and positive, productive working relationships with colleagues at NFREC.
- Completes other duties as assigned

| Expected Salary: |
$17.00 hr.
|
| Minimum Requirements: |
High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. |
| Preferred Qualifications: |
Beef cattle and farm equipment experience strongly preferred.
