Job Description:

Fiscal Support – Directly assist the Administrative Specialist II with fiscal support, primarily focusing on routine calculations, data entry and record keeping, and verification of financial transactions. Handle departmental account activities, accounts receivable/payable such as order preparations, processing invoice, expense report, physical check deposits, or travel request and its reimbursement, and any other fiscal-related tasks as needed. 

Administrative Support - Perform general front office tasks such as greeting and screening visitors, answering and transferring multiple phone lines, handling daily mail/packaging, preparing outgoing shipment, maintaining guest’s logbook, the staff and room calendars. Provide frequent assistance to NRF communications and outreach platforms, such as the weekly newsletter, lobby screens, or monthly and annual events. 

Miscellaneous Tasks - Assist the Administrative Specialist II, NRF Director, NRF Associate Director, NRF faculty, and staff in meeting their positions and/or the department’s needs. Other duties will be assigned based on the qualifications of the individual. 

Expected Salary:

$17.00-$20.00/hr; commensurate with qualifications and experience

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of general accounts transaction experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

SKILLS 

  • Capable of operating standard office equipment such as calculators, computers, scanners, multi-line telephone system, and copy machines
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Customer service and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of UF financial/accounting system such as UF-GO, myUF Marketplace, and deposit handling, etc. is a big plus
