About UF/IFAS UF/IFAS is a leading institution dedicated to research, education, and Extension in agriculture, natural resources, and life sciences. UF/IFAS Communications is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Social Media Assistant to enhance our online presence and engagement.
Position Overview: Join our dynamic social media team and play a key role in shaping the online presence of UF/IFAS (University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences). We seek a detail-oriented and creative candidate to assist with developing and maintaining an IFAS-wide social media directory and creating content for our flagship social media accounts. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to impact organizational communications efficiency and collaboration, build a professional social media content portfolio, and learn from an experienced team of social media, design, photography, and videography professionals.

Capture, edit, and design content in various formats using iPhone, DSLR cameras, editing software

Assist in customer support on UF/IFAS flagship platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and emerging channels.

Expected Salary: |
$15/hr – up to 15 hours per week
|
Minimum Requirements: |
High school diploma is required.

Preferred Qualifications: |

Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, Canva, Sprout Social, CapCut/Mobile Video Editing Apps
