Job Description:

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an intermediate-level Fiscal Assistant to join the UFIT Business Center.  This position serves units win UFIT by providing support in monitoring, processing, reviewing, and approving transactional activities relating to commitment accounting and fiscal processes.

Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:

  • Expense and travel processing including procurement, P-cards, invoices, and UFGO reservations
  • Transactional Process analysis and improvement
  • Account reconciliation
  • Vendor account management

Benefits

Full-time TEAMS employees accrue vacation leave at a rate of 6.769 hours biweekly/22 days annually and sick leave at 4 hours biweekly/13 days annually. In addition, employees are eligible for ten paid holidays each year.

Vacation-accruing TEAMS employees are eligible for four personal leave days/32 hours per year, assuming full-time status. These leave days may allow units to close from December 26 to 31, when possible, determined on a unit-by-unit basis.

Expected Salary:

$24-25/hour; commensurate based on education and experience. 

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and five years of general accounts transaction experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

The ideal candidate will possess the following education, experience, and skills:

  • Excellent customer service
  • Compliance with federal, state, and University policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Effective communication skills
Special Instructions to Applicants:

This role will be based in one of our Gainesville offices and may include a hybrid schedule of three days in the office (Wednesday required) and two days remote.

A Criminal Background Screening is required.
