Job Description:

Course Development
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to align content, activities, and/or assessments with learning objects, course goals, and any appropriate competencies and standards.
  • Review content and use research and adult learning theories to provide suggestions of how content can be presented for the target audience.
  • Ideate activities for engagement that are developmentally appropriate and ensure that content follows the outlined templates and scope of work.
  • Collaborate with the Video Production and Graphic Design teams to create, review, and refine educational assets.
  • Assure content is grammatically correct and adheres to APA guidelines, as appropriate.
  • Review content and materials and edit/revise for improvements as necessary.
  • Maintain daily communication with the Learning Experience Design Manager.
  • Assist with updates to visual identity and platform migrations as necessary.
  • Consult with Subject Matter Experts on assessment and learner engagement activities, providing guidance as necessary on Learning Management System features to support adult learners.
  • Adhere to established processes, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Collaborate across project teams to ensure that any content improvements are identified, documented, and addressed.
  • Attend meetings and focus groups as requested.
  • Participate in planning and delivery of promotional presentations, conference sessions, etc., as required.
  • Collaborate as appropriate with other teams and within the Lastinger Center.
  • Track progress in accordance with established team processes to align work time to billable projects.
Support production activities
  • Produce documentation such as but not limited to the following: scripts, storyboards, production notes, transcripts, supporting resources, glossaries, etc., or other specified documents as part of project deliverables and production schedules.
  • Refer to other Lastinger Center courses and assets to ensure consistency within and across product lines and/or courses.
  • Review, revise, and format course resources as required.
  • Assist in the pre-production, production, and post-production of videos and other assets for courses or other products.
  • Review and provide feedback on materials, both video and non-video, Interactive Media Elements, etc.
  • Organize course materials on file-sharing system.

Center offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule that aligns with the university’s Flexibility in the Workplace Policy.
Allowing employees to stagger arrival and departure times as necessary and to vary the number of workdays in
the office so long as an employee’s FTE commitment is fulfilled within the university workweek. This policy also
allows for occasional, incidental remote work based on individual circumstances.
 
This position is time limited.
Expected Salary:

$61,000 - $65,000

Minimum Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong editing and instructional design skills
  • Experience with adult learning, professional development, and online learning
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, superior oral and written communication skills, ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, ability to work proactively on a broad range of project support.
