Federal Work Study- Student Assistant

This position begins in the Spring 2025 semester with the opportunity to continue in following semesters. 

The Electronic Resources Unit seeks an enthusiastic and productive student assistant to aid the Unit staff in various behind-the-scenes tasks including: editing electronic records in the Libraries’ catalog; investigating order records; working with general data and spreadsheets; periodic checking of access to library databases and journals; exploring the Libraries’ resources and assisting with optimizing for user experience; verifying financial information in the library system; and other Acquisitions responsibilities and projects as assigned by full-time staff.

$13/hour

• Federal Work Study Award for the Spring 2025 semester. 
• Ability to work weekdays between the hours of 8:30AM-4:30PM. Flexibility for work hours occurring at mid-terms and finals.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to perform tasks that require organization and attention to detail
• Must be punctual, reliable, able to maintain a consistent schedule, and willing to work in a highly-collaborative team environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
