Job Description:

Tooling and Extension Reporting Management:
Serve as the Online Service Coordinator for PEARS, integrated M365 services, and other reporting platforms, focusing on removing technical barriers for Extension Faculty and Staff to maximize system utilization. Co-lead the PEARS pilot program and provide support for integrating PEARS client data into the Salesforce environment for downstream analytical and marketing initiatives. Ensure data quality by addressing duplicates, outliers, and missing data. Act as a subject matter expert for PEARS and SharePoint data assets, supporting integration and analytical projects led by other departmental teams. Collaborate closely the AI|BI team to enhance reporting and data management strategies and prepare documentation to address system and service requirements from IFAS IT and UF IT.

Systems and Network Administration:
Provide oversight for the lifecycle of applications, services, and operating systems, including Program Evaluation and Reporting System (PEARS), M365 platform services, and user support across Windows and MacOS devices. Manage these services for approximately 400 users across Florida, encompassing County Extension Offices, Research and Education Centers, and the broader Florida Cooperative Extension system, which includes UF/IFAS Extension and FAMU Extension. Ensure compliance with university, college, and departmental security and configuration policies while providing support for data integrations and migrations into UF’s Snowflake, Salesforce, and SharePoint Online environments, as led by other departmental teams.

Project Leadership:
Lead and support IT projects focused on transitioning Extension Faculty and Staff from static report of accomplishment and plan of work (ROA|POW) templates to web-based PEARS systems. Serve as the technical point of contact for Faculty ticket submissions regarding PEARS functionality and integrated service platforms. Co-develop work plans, training plans, and proposals for leveraging PEARS, M365, SharePoint, and Snowflake to reduce administrative burden for faculty and staff across Florida Cooperative Extension. Apply Agile methodologies to oversee project lifecycles, ensuring timely completion and alignment with Extension modernization goals. Collaborate closely with UF/IFAS Extension’s AI|BI team to ensure project success.

Vendor and Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with vendors and UF IT, to resolve service-related issues and ensure optimal functionality of supported platforms. Provide targeted support for PEARS and M365 services, addressing faculty and staff technical questions related to reporting platform modules and administrative tools. Collaborate on user data to refine master subscription agreements and user licensing. Engage regularly with UF IT, IFAS IT, and the AI|BI team to align stakeholder needs and maintain seamless system operations.

Training and Compliance:
Develop and maintain programs and scripts to aid in systems management. Install, evaluate, and apply software and application updates, ensuring backup and recovery capabilities.

Incumbent will perform all duties as required to meet unit goals and objectives.

Expected Salary:

$81,100-$88,500 Commensurate with education and experience

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with extensive experience in systems development and project management. Proven experience in managing IT services across various platforms, particularly Microsoft tools, and a strong track record of leading successful IT projects and initiatives.
Academic background and experience in selected area of research required, or other applicable academic field as evidenced by an advanced degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field, with a strong academic background in systems development. Ideal candidates will possess a robust understanding and demonstrated experience in the following areas:
Technical Expertise in AI and BI Tools: Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with AI and business intelligence platforms, particularly Microsoft AI services and data integration and presentation services. Candidates should have proven ability in utilizing these tools to enhance data outputs and decision-making processes within an organizational context.
Project Management and Implementation: Experience in leading AI/BI projects from conception through to deployment and maintenance. This includes managing timelines, coordinating teams, and overseeing the development of project deliverables to ensure they meet strategic goals and operational needs.
Training and Development: Demonstrated ability to design and execute training programs that enhance staff proficiency in AI and BI technologies. Candidates should have experience in creating educational materials and conducting training sessions that are tailored to the needs of a variety of teams within an academic or corporate setting.
Documentation Skills: Exceptional technical writing skills with a focus on creating comprehensive documentation for AI and BI systems. This includes the ability to write clear and informative user manuals, system documentation, and operational guidelines that facilitate easy understanding and adoption of new technologies.
Communication and Presentation: Strong communication skills to effectively document and present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience in preparing detailed reports, proposals, and instructional materials that convey critical information about AI and BI implementations.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze system performance and user feedback to continually refine and improve documentation and training materials. This also includes troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise during the implementation and operational phases of AI/BI projects
