Job Description: |
The Admissions Assistant II plays a critical support role within the College of Pharmacy's admissions team, serving as the first point of contact for prospective students and applicants. This position is responsible for assisting in the processing of applications, supporting administrative tasks, and helping with event coordination to ensure successful student enrollment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of university admissions processes and a commitment to professionalism, attention to detail, and effective communication.
Admissions Support
- Assist in processing applications through systems such as PharmCAS and Salesforce, ensuring a seamless workflow.
- Verify applicant data for accuracy and consistency across multiple platforms.
Provide timely and accurate information to applicants regarding their application status, ensuring clear communication about next steps and required documentation.
- Mentor prospective students, particularly those in the Pharmacy Early Assurance Program (PEAP), guiding them through the application process and helping facilitate their transition from leads to applicants, in collaboration with the Academic Advisor.
- Meet with PEAP students to assess their progress in the program and advise on optimal timing for applying to the PharmD program.
Administrative Support
- Support the preparation of routine reports, documentation, and tracking of application progress.
Assist in preparing formal communications, including admit letters, scholarship notifications, and event invitations.
- Organize and document admissions committee meetings, including preparing agendas and taking meeting minutes.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records while ensuring data confidentiality in compliance with university regulations.
Event Support
- Assist in planning and executing logistics for admissions-related events, including open houses, interview days, and informational webinars.
- Prepare materials and support the facilitation of orientation sessions and other student-facing events.
Coordinate the Pharmacy Early Assurance Program (PEAP) Pinning Ceremony in collaboration with the Pre-Pharmacy Advisor and Recruiter.
Other Duties as Assigned
- Provide general office support, such as assisting with website updates and communication tasks.
Support additional initiatives as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the admissions office and promote the College of Pharmacy.

$41,000 - $46,000

Minimum Requirements: |
High school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications: |
Experience in administrative support or customer service, particularly in a higher education setting.
Familiarity with admissions software like Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
Proven attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
