Job Description:

Participate in the informed consent process of study subjects

Assist patients in completing study related surveys and olfaction testing

Retrieve and process human tissue samples from the operating rooms and clinics

Maintain REDCAP databases of study related results

Coordinate communication between research procedures and follow up between the clinical and research teams

Manage essential regulatory documents

Any other duties, as needed, to fulfill the mission and to abide by the values of the College of Medicine

Expected Salary:

$39,700 - $51,000 annually

Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree or an allied health professional degree in an appropriate area and one year of relevant
experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Mastery of sample collection and processing
  • Working knowledge of infectious disease sample processing and laboratory regulations and procedure
  • Knowledge of clinical and hospital processes and protocols
  • Ability to communicate, collaborate, and develop a rapport with clinical staff.
  • Knowledge of basic principles and good clinical practice of clinical research
  • Ability to collect, collate, analyze, and evaluate data from clinical research studies
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Preferred familiarity with database construction, data collection and entry. Ability to plan, organize, coordinate work assignments
  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective verbal and written communication
  • Skill and knowledge with various computer programs
  • Ability to understand, interpret and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to work independently, effectively and perform various administrative tasks
  • Ability to meet deadlines
