Job Description:

The University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) is recruiting for a non-tenure, Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Diagnostic Sciences (OMDS). UFCD is one of the leading dental schools in the United States devoted to improving and promoting oral health throughout Florida, the nation and worldwide through excellence in teaching, research, patient care and service.

The faculty position encompasses didactic and clinical teaching of predoctoral and advanced education students, participation in UFCD’s robust Oral Pathology Biopsy Service, clinical practice, and research program. The faculty member will be expected to participate in scholarly activities and other related service to the institution. The successful candidate will also be expected to obtain an affiliate appointment in the College of Medicine’s Department of Pathology with appropriate credentialing for hospital appointment.

Expected Salary:

Salary and rank are commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum requirements:
• A DMD/DDS or equivalent degree.
• Completion of residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology from a CODA accredited training program.
• Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology
• Previous experience teaching and mentoring pathology residents.
• Previous experience providing clinical care both in pathology and oral medicine. Experience with oral       pathology biopsy service and signing out cases.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred requirements:
• Proven record of experience in diagnostic microscopic oral pathology is preferred for participation in a large Oral and Maxillofacial Biopsy service.
• Established record of scholarly activity in the form of peer reviewed publications
