Job Description:

The UF Prevention and Intervention Network in the College of Education is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic research assistant to work with researchers (graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and faculty.staff) to complete data collection, activity tracking and monitoring, project reporting and dissemination on a federally-funded project. The position will also help advance emerging research and product development in the center under general supervision. Within state travel is required and the position is contingent on grant funding.

Data collection, entry and management

  • The employee will visit project schools in Marion County, Florida to observe team meetings and complete required data collection tools before, during and after team meetings, including team observation, costs, and other measurements assigned. All data will be entered in the prescribed management system (e.g., Qualtrics, Google Forms, Zoho) in a timely manner with auditable records maintained.

Activity tracking and monitoring

  • The employee will track all activities of project schools and report in the prescribed tracking system (e.g., Zoho). Activity tracking and monitoring will also be reported to the project implementation team in twice monthly calls and via email.

Product development and dissemination

  • The employee will co-lead and support the project team developing products for the project schools (e.g., programs monitoring in PBIS Rewards) and brainstorm and co-draft other potential products. Opportunities for dissemination to school teams and more broadly at conferences and online are also available.

Cultivating emerging research

  • The employee will work with PIN center faculty/staff and graduate students to advance other emerging research and product development via market analyses (including interviews and online searches), literature reviews, and surveys. These activities may require IRB approval facilitated by the research assistant, as well as instrument development, data collection, transcription, and preliminary descriptive analyses.

Expected Salary:

$22.03 - $27.30

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience collecting data in schools in Florida is preferred, along with experience communicating with school stakeholders. Experience with research and data collection systems including IRB policies and procedures, Qualtrics, interview transcription, literature reviews, and collaborative team meetings.
