About This Role
Team Employment & Job Actions - HR Transactions Coordination and Processing
- Manage and process a wide range of HR transactions throughout the employee lifecycle, including hiring request approvals, new hires, job reclassifications, special pay increases (SPIs), changes in FTE (Full-Time Equivalent), administrative supplements, additional compensation, position description updates, supervisor changes, leaves of absence, terminations, and leave cash outs.
- Communicate with supervisors, administrative units, payroll, and benefits teams, serving as a liaison for HR processes within assigned units.
- Maintain original copies of HR documentation on the Shared Drive for assigned areas, ensuring that records are organized and easily accessible.
Recruitment Support, Onboarding, and Offboarding Coordination
- Collaborate with designated units and business partners to assist in recruitment activities, including creating job requisitions within Page Up (Careers at UF).
- Draft offer letters and manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring the completion of necessary paperwork and actively communicating with both new employees and supervisors.
- Coordinate the dissemination of information regarding new employee orientation, benefits sessions, payroll, training, and other relevant onboarding details.
- Oversee offboarding procedures for departing staff, ensuring the completion of required paperwork and transactions
Operational Support
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, university regulations, and college policies, staying current on updates to maintain compliance.
- Maintain and update the college faculty database with all necessary information, ensuring that records are accurate and up to date.
- Assist in drafting, implementing, and training on Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs).

Preferred Qualifications: |
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 2+ years of experience with human resource transactions.
- Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new HR systems, software tools, and processes.
- Flexibility in adapting to evolving programs and procedures while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Experience in a healthcare human resources setting is preferred.
- A customer-focused approach when assisting employees and supervisors, with the ability to handle inquiries professionally and courteously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages thoughtfully and effectively to staff, faculty, supervisors, senior leaders, and other stakeholders."
- A collaborative mindset, working closely with HR team members, supervisors, department administrators, and key stakeholders.
- A self-motivated, proactive approach to handling responsibilities, problem-solving, and completing assignments.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and ensure timely completion of duties.
- Proficiency in relevant HRIS information systems and software tools, including Microsoft 365/Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Teams), Dropbox, and DocuSign.
