Job Description:

- Providing behavior-analytic services: 

Provide behavior-analytic services for children and youth with a range of behavior disorders and challenging behaviors; conducting student behavioral observations, FBAs, and other assessments in classrooms and other settings through the application of evidence-based principles, methods, and procedures for understanding the function of behavior and designing, implementing, and evaluating skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction systems that increase desired behavior, reduce challenging behavior, and facilitate effective functioning across a variety of conditions and settings; using expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating behavior-analytic systems, including performance management, consultation, and training in the application of the science of behavior and current research and practices in the field of behavior analysis to deliver pertinent, evidence-based consultation and instructional support to educators, other school/district personnel, and parents for struggling preK-12th grade students with a wide range of behavioral and learning challenges and related conditions/concerns. 

- Consultation with Key Stakeholders: 

Consulting and collaborating with school/district personnel and parents to facilitate implementation of evidence-based interventions to improve the academic engagement, learning, skill development, and readiness for post-secondary transition of at-risk preK-12th grade students with learning, neurocognitive, and related difficulties impacting school functioning and academic progress; delivering direct consultation/intervention services to at-risk students and their parents/caregivers targeting barriers to academic engagement, learning, and skill development to improve readiness for post-secondary transition; conducting comprehensive progress monitoring assessments with students, families, and teachers/school personnel to determine the effectiveness and implementation levels of recommendations; using data to assess response to interventions (RtI) within an MTSS framework; analyzing, interpreting, and reporting student data and using student data to assess response to interventions (RtI); coordinating, planning, and participating in case conferences/other meetings with parents and educators to share information and develop an action plan to address the needs of children with special educational needs; writing FBA/other assessment/behavioral observation and consultation reports that include students’ educational histories, prior evaluation findings, and response to intervention data, summarizing and interpreting findings and pertinent evidence based recommendations informed by up-to-date knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and policies governing the provisions of educational services to students with disabilities as well as current research and evidence-based guidelines from the Institute of Educational Sciences (IES) and professional organizations (e.g., the Behavior Analyst Certification Board,  Inc.® (BACB®); maintaining all appropriate records as required in a timely and satisfactory manner. 

- Education and Development: 

Coordinating, developing and/or conducting in-service and pre-service training for educators, related professionals and parents, as well as educational and training programs for educators and school personnel; developing, coordinating participating in staff development programs; serving as liaison between MDTP, schools and other agencies; working effectively with students, parents, colleagues, community agencies and staff; collecting and analyzing data and maintaining program activity databases; compiling and drafting reports related to program activities; interpreting administrative regulations and policies and recommending new and improved programs within MDTP; analyzing, synthesizing, maintaining and disseminating pertinent, current information from the Florida Department of Education on pertinent state and federal policies and laws and related educational policies, programs and procedures; preparing reports and maintaining all appropriate records as required and in a timely manner. 

- All Other Duties Assigned by Program Director 

Expected Salary:

$75,000 - $81,500 annually

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in a health-related area and four years of experience

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION
BCBA board certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctorate in applied behavior analysis from an accredited institution.
• Board certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) at a doctoral level (BCBA-D).
• At least three (3) years’ experience in a Florida school district
• Valid driver’s license and be able to drive within the north-central Florida service region
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based interventions for K-12 students with learning, neurocognitive, and related difficulties impacting school functioning and academic progress.
• Strong working knowledge of Florida’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and proficiency in analyzing, accurately interpreting, and reporting student data.
• Ability to effectively use expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating behavior analytic systems, including performance management, consultation, and training in the application of the science of behavior and current research and practices in the field of behavior analysis to deliver pertinent, evidence-based consultation and instructional support to teachers, parents, principals, and district staff for struggling preK-12th grade students with a wide range of behavioral and learning challenges and related conditions/concerns.
• Proficiency in communicating results of evaluation findings in written and oral formats to assist students, parents, and school personnel to identify effective approaches to address communication (articulation & oral language), learning, and behavior problems that are impacting academic progress.
• Ability to work with diverse groups, collaborate effectively with others, flexibly problem-solve, and facilitate effective conflict resolution.
• Strong working knowledge of current exceptional student education (ESE) policies and procedures, and pertinent state and federal laws and school district and community resources available to families of children with disabilities.
• Ability to design and deliver evidence-based professional development/training to educators, school support staff, parents, related service providers and agency personnel
• Experience and proficiency with industry-standard computer applications
• Ability to use technology effectively.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement of professional knowledge and skills.
• Flexible workday and hours are required to accommodate client needs
• Bilingual with Spanish language proficiency
• Proficiency with use of web-based computer technologies

Special Instructions to Applicants:

Normal Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday 8am to 5pm. Hours may be flexible depending upon the requirements of the position. This job requires travel across the North Central Florida region.
