The University of Florida is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Admissions Officer III. In this role, you will supervise a team of Applicant Services staff, ensuring the efficient processing of over 120,000 applications annually while providing exceptional customer service to prospective students, parents, counselors, and campus partners.
Key responsibilities include:
Operations Management and Supervision
- Lead the daily operations of the Applicant Services call center, ensuring timely and accurate processing of undergraduate, graduate, post-baccalaureate, certificate, and professional applications.
- Manage application workflow, document imaging, and data integrity within MyAdmissions (Slate) and the Student Information System (SIS).
- Perform initial conduct reviews and determine residency classifications for tuition purposes, applying knowledge of university policies and state regulations.
- Monitor communications and update systems to ensure effective outreach and applicant support.
- Supervise, train, and hire full-time and OPS staff in Applicant Services.
- Develop and conduct training sessions on admissions processes across multiple software platforms, including Slate, Salesforce, and Campus Solutions.
- Coordinate staff schedules, manage time reporting, and lead performance evaluations, ensuring compliance with privacy rules and regulations.
Customer Service & Collaboration
- Oversee the coordination of inbound and outbound phone calls, including the implementation of call campaigns.
- Assist with office visitations, handle complex inquiries, and serve as a point of contact for OneStop Enrollment Services.
- Manage sensitive residency cases and support the Residency Appeals Committee.
- Contribute to the Office of Admissions’ annual report and strategic planning initiatives.
Other Duties
- Assist in holistic reviews of freshman applications.
- Participate in decision-making and finalize applications for enrolled students.
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
This position is located at the University of Florida's main campus in Gainesville, FL and may be eligible for a flexible, hybrid work arrangement in accordance with the University of Florida and Division of Enrollment Management's policies.

Expected Salary: |
$50,000 annually
